Bill Rufus Bradley, 86, of Nebo, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, July 17, 2022.
He was born in McDowell County on April 06, 1936 to the late Perry and Jane Hawkins Bradley.
He spent his years being a truck driver, but after retirement, he spent his days watching NASCAR, Dallas Cowboys, and the Yankees. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Glenda Bradley; two sisters, Tiny Bradley and Barbara Jean Pittman; and one daughter-in-law, Debbie Bradley.
Left to cherish the memories are two daughters, Kathy Koye and Ashley Cooke (Edge); three sons, Mickey Bradley, Billy Bradley, and Jackie Fisher; brother, Daniel Bradley; three grandchildren, Jennifer Slentz (Andrew), Odin Cooke, and Bjorn Cooke; three great grandchildren, Halley, Grace, and Travis Slentz (Ellena); and two great great grandchildren, Kayta Slentz-Millwood and Eva Slentz.
In keeping with Mr. Bradley’s wishes, no services will be held. The family will be gathering at the home of Kathy Koye at 130 Sourwood Drive, Nebo, North Carolina 28761.
