Beulah Mae Jones Suttle

On the morning of Wednesday, September 1, 2021, Beulah Mae Jones Suttle passed away peacefully at Memorial Mission-Asheville. A native of McDowell County, Beulah was born on April 9, 1934 to the late Lewis and Sarah Huffman Jones.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Gerald Suttle.

Beulah was a very active member of Story Memorial Presbyterian Church and loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a volunteer at the Memorial Mission-McDowell Hospital, Red Cross and the McDowell County Board of Elections. She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother who will be missed greatly. Beulah enjoyed baking and was known to share her candies and fudge with others.

Left to cherish her memories are three children, Charles “Chuck” G. Suttle, Jr., Cynthia Ann Suttle Lowdermilk and Jeffrey Scott Suttle; siblings, Doris Freshour, Frances Greene, Donald Jones and Faye Conner. Also surviving Beulah are three grandchildren, Candice Hogan (Greg), Jeffrey Suttle, Jr. and Charles Clayton Lowdermilk (Leslie) and a number of great-grandchildren.

A public memorial service will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Story Memorial Presbyterian Church.
