Beulah Lawing

Beulah Pearl Lawing, 79, of Nebo, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City.

Beulah was born in McDowell County, NC on March 1, 1942, to the late John W. and Effie Lewis Lawing. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Nebo, where she was very active. Beulah liked to travel and enjoyed the company of cats. Most of all, she loved the Lord and loved her family. She will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul, Otis, and Carl Lawing.

She is survived by two brothers, Vernon Lawing and wife Betty of Denver, NC and Ollis Lawing and wife Joyce of Nebo; two sisters, Eula Brown of Ellenboro, NC and Pamela Killian and husband David of Hickory, NC; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Nebo. Rev. Brian Gentry will officiate. Burial will follow at the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the Church.
