Betty Wall Wood

Betty Wall Wood, age 63, of Marion, North Carolina passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at St. Joseph Campus in Asheville, NC.

Betty was born September 21, 1954 in McDowell County, NC to the late Horace E. Wall and Betty Lee Greene Wall.  She retired from Baxter Healthcare after 39 years of service and always enjoyed working.  She also liked doing crossword puzzles and eating Whitman’s chocolate candy.  Betty was a very kind and loving person and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Those left behind to cherish her memories are her beloved husband of 26 years, Johnny Wood; one step-son, Jonathan Allen Wood; two siblings, Donald Dean (Delores) and Beverly Miller; and a special friend, Tami Buchanan.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Beam Funeral Service.  A funeral service to celebrate Betty’s life will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
