Betty Lou Epley Hudgins

Betty Lou Epley Hudgins, age 91, of Marion, passed away Sunday, March 05, 2023.

Betty was born in Rutherford County, North Carolina on September 11, 1931 to the late Badger and Lula Haynes Epley. Betty was a member of Hicks Chapel Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and choir member. She enjoyed quilting and gardening. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She mostly enjoyed spending time with family. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory are two children, Jerry Hudgins (Wilma) and Johnny Hudgins (Patty); four grandchildren; Greg Hudgins (Erin), Jason Hudgins (Alicia), Josh Hudgins (Brooke) and Tiffany Fowler (Blake); nine great grandchildren; Luke Hudgins, Justin Hudgins, Austin Hudgins, Chloe Hudgins, Noelle Hudgins, Sarayah Hudgins, Jonah Hudgins, Syrus Hudgins and Shilah Gage.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Hicks Chapel Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Allen Laws officiating. A burial service will take place at the church cemetery.
