Betty Skeens Clayton

     Betty Lois Skeens Clayton, 78, of Marion, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Autumn Care of Marion.

     Betty was born in Pikeville, Kentucky on August 6, 1944, to the late John Skeens, Sr. and Ruby Childers Skeens. In her younger days, Betty enjoyed traveling and going to antique stores. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a son, Don Clayton; two sisters, Billie Charles and Ollie Smith; three brothers, John Skeens, Jr., Jim Skeens, and Fon Skeens.

     She is survived by a son, John Clayton (Chryssa); a daughter, Karen Sparks (Tony); a brother, Curtis Skeens; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

     In accordance with Betty’s wishes, no public services will be held.
