Betty Jane Smith Allison

Betty Jane Smith Allison, age 92, of Old Fort went to be with the Lord Thursday November 17, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Eugene (Gene) Allison.

She was a member of Old Fort United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for 50 years. A dedicated Christian she was active in church, especially with cooking for special events. She was a talented seamstress, enjoyed camping and spending time with her grandchildren. She retired from the Town of Old Fort, where she worked in the water department.

Those left behind to cherish Betty’s memory are three children: Keith Allison (Charlene), Karen Allison, Steve Allison (Sandra) three grandchildren; Kevin Allison (Halley), Cory Allison (Stephanie) and Jordan Allison (Megan). Two great grandchildren, Alyssa Allison and Payten Allison. Sisters, Sandra Boyd, Susan Smith (Susie) and brothers, George (Jim) Smith, Robert Smith and many other family members and friends.

A private service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to acknowledge and express their gratitude to the staff at Mountain Ridge Health and Rehab for the care that she received.
