Benjamin Paul Flynn

Benjamin Paul Flynn, 30, of Asheville and formerly of Marion, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 13, 2023.

He was born in Marion on December 4, 1992. He was known to many as Ben or Benji. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed being in nature. He loved his family and always put them first in his life. Ben will be remembered as a very outgoing and outspoken man. Most recently, Ben was employed at Taco Bell and was attending Elevation Church and AB Tech. He was also an exceptional tattoo artist.

He is preceded in death by his stepsister, Chelsea Clontz and a brother-in-law, Leroy Rafferty.

He is survived by his parents, Jeffrey Flynn and Zelda Hensley Rexroad; sisters, Amber Bass (Derek) and Shyanne Flynn; paternal grandparents, Benny and Betty Flynn; maternal grandparents, Paul and Betty Hensley; five nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service with Pastor Mark Lawing officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m.
