Becky Victoria McPeters

Becky Victoria McPeters, age 61, of Shreveport, Louisiana and formerly of Marion, North Carolina, passed away peacefully following a long battle with cancer on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at The Carpenter House while under the care of St. Joseph Hospice in Shreveport.  The daughter of Jacqueline McPeters of Marion, North Carolina and the late Samuel McPeters, she was born on August 01, 1958 in Prince George’s County, Maryland. 

Having had a special place in her heart for dogs, Becky was known as having been a caring and loving person.  She enjoyed crafting and loved being outdoors, especially camping. 

In addition to her mother, she is survived by one daughter, Treeva Freeman; one sister Gladys Poteat (Clifford); two brothers, David McPeters (Karen) and Joel McPeters; three grandsons, Travis Rooks (Allison), Lucas Rooks and Trevor Kettles.  Becky’s special canine partner, “Seth”, preceded her in death. 

A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Eddie McMahan Cemetery in Yancey County, North Carolina.
