Barbara Roper

Barbara Ellen Roper, age 67, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at McDowell Assisted Living.  The daughter of the late Gilford and Geneva Mae Barker Roper, she was born in McDowell County on September 15, 1951.

Having had a special place in her heart for cats, Barbara enjoyed playing checkers and drawing. In her down time, she loved watching movies on Lifetime Movie Network.

Miss Roper is survived by her sister, Linda Roper Stott; one niece, Angela Stott Crawford and her husband, Jonathan; and great niece, Payton Crawford.
