Avery Dean Wall

Mr. A. Dean Wall, age 77, of Marion North Carolina, passed away at Mission Hospital McDowell on Tuesday, April 02, 2019. The son of the late Walter Wilbur “Fat” Wall, and Hettie Jo Walker Wall. He was born on October 02, 1941.

Dean loved many things in life, including work, and traveling to various places, but most of all his beloved family including Koko.

Left to cherish Dean’s memories are his loving wife Carolyn Wall; four children, Gene Wall (Athena) of Marion, David Wall (Teresa) of Marion, Rebecca Ayers (Michael) of Myrtle Beach SC, and Elizabeth Wall-Braunert of Myrtle Beach SC. Also surviving are two sisters, Linda Barrington and Micki Cowan; nine grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews, and his special canine companion, Koko. 

A funeral service for Dean will be held on Saturday, April 06, 2019 at St. Johns Episcopal Church in Marion at 11:00 a.m., with Father Mike Cogsdale officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service at the parish house. Graveside service will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Marion.
