Augustus Bolden

In the early morning hours of Wednesday, April 3, 2019, Mr. Augustus Bolden, age 84, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away at St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville.  The son of the late Robert and Rosetta McKinney Bolden, he was born in Mitchell County, North Carolina on October 1, 1934.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Bolden and Jimmy Bolden.

Augustus is survived by one brother, Clifford Bolden and his wife, Glennis; one sister, Nora Davis (who took great care of Augustus for several years); and several nieces and nephews.

A private celebration of Mr. Bolden’s life will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to Dr. Jacobs and the nursing staff on L. Tach at St. Joseph Campus and to the staff of Deer Park Health & Rehabilitation for the loving and compassionate care they provided Augustus during this time.
