Arthur Bennett Parker

Arthur “Ben” Parker, age 50, of Marion, North Carolina passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017. Ben was born in McDowell County on July 5, 1966 he is the son of the late Cecil and Gladys Franklin Parker.

In his younger days, Ben enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He also loved vintage automobiles. Mostly Ben enjoyed helping others and was the caregiver for his mother up until her passing. He will be remembered as a loving person and one who was truly dedicated to his family.

Left to cherish his memory is his companion, Martha Allison; two children, Amanda Parker and Christopher Hughes; two step-children, Brittany Allison and Sienna Reel; two sisters, Katie Hardin (Steve) and Regina Davis (Eddie); two uncles, Norris Parker (Carolyn) and Earl Parker (Shirley); two grandchildren, Caleb Reece Tipton, and Dalilah Jade Arbutus Tipton; two step grandchildren, Rhylan Allison, and Jariah Allison; two neices, Nikki Laws (Drew), and Stephanie Virsu (Xavier); three nephews Trey Davis, James Hardin, and Chandler Hardin; two great nieces, Caitlyn Virsu, and Vena Hardin; five great nephews, Alex Virsu, Connor Virsu, Dylan Laws, Devon Laws, and Daron Laws.

A private family memorial service will be held in honor of Ben at a later date.
