Annette Jean Vess

Annette Jean Vess, 52, of Old Fort, North Carolina, passed away on the afternoon of Friday, September 25, 2020 at her residence.

A native of McDowell County, she was born on August 29, 1968 to Danny and Barbara Vess of Old Fort.

She was a longtime employee of Auria in Old Fort. More recently, she worked in housekeeping at the Holiday Inn Express. She loved reading, cooking, coloring, and shopping, but mostly spending time with her family. She enjoyed the beauty of the beach and had a love for dolphins and lighthouses.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Catherine Dee Mann; two brothers, Kirk Vess and wife Sarah, and Keith Vess and wife Glynda; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 01, 2020 at 12:00 noon at Valley View Memorial Park with Reverend Billy Conner officiating.
