Anna Woody

Anna Woody, age 73, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the McDowell Hospital.  A native of McDowell County, she was born April 16, 1944 and was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Williams Nichols.  She is also preceded in death by one sister, Frances O’Dear; and two brothers, Robert Dean Nichols and Michael Larry Nichols.

A loving wife, sister and aunt, Anna, for 26 years owned and operated Paper Back Traders in Marion; and in her spare time enjoyed fishing with her family.  She attended Faith Tabernacle Church in Marion.

Miss Anna is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Bobby Woody; one sister, Dora Nichols; one nephew, Larry Nichols and one niece, Teresa Nichols. 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 01, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Beam Funeral Service.  A graveside service will follow the visitation at Oak Grove Cemetery with Pastor Harold Davis officiating.
