Allen Lee Fisher

Allen Lee Fisher, age 50, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on the evening of Friday, July 09, 2021. A native and lifelong resident of McDowell County, North Carolina, Allen was born on January 04, 1971 to Joyce Fisher of Marion, North Carolina and the late Glenn Fisher.

A loving husband, father, son, brother, son-in-law and “Uncle Alfie”, Allen enjoyed hunting and fishing. Not only did Allen love his family, also he loved the Lord. He was a member of Yancey Street Baptist Church in Marion.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Janet Elkins Fisher; one daughter, Makayla Fisher; one sister, Tonya Fisher Poore (Josh); three nieces, Carrie Poore, Taylor Poore and Hannah Poore; and a special mother-in-law, Mary Elkins.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Yancey Street Baptist Church with Pastor Dean Owenby officiating. Interment will follow the service at Gouge’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Spruce Pine. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at Yancey Street Baptist Church. At other times the family will be at Allen’s mother, Joyce’s residence. Family and friends are welcomed.
