Alicia Dawn Grindstaff

Alicia Dawn Grindstaff, age 33, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Tuesday, September 03, 2019.  The daughter of Debbie Grindstaff of Marion, North Carolina and the late Jim Dale Boone, she was born in Buncombe County, North Carolina on November 21, 1985. 

Alicia was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew G. Riddle (August 25, 2018); and her maternal grandmother, Sandra “Big Granny” Styles. 

Having attended West Burnsville Baptist Church, Alicia was known as to have enjoyed being in and around water, especially Lake James.  She loved spending time with her children, fur babies; and being around her step-father, Woody. 

Alicia is survived by, in addition to her mother, Debbie Grindstaff, stepfather, Woody Cox; one son, Colin Ray; one daughter, Kyllie Ray; and her three special friends, Ed Robinson, Keith Shehan and Jimmy Hollifield. 

A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, September 08, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Mr. Jim Rhinehart officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
