Alice Marlene “Gran” Ogle Davis, 84, of Old Fort, passed away at Mountain Ridge Wellness Center on the morning of Friday, December 23, 2022.
Marlene was born in Unicoi County Tennessee on April 25, 1938 to the late Shelby Carter Ogle and Luna Margaret Guinn Ogle. She was a member of Old Fort Free Will Baptist Church. She loved to sing and enjoyed crafting. Mostly she loved her Lord and Savior. Her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her family was her world. Marlene was known as a loving mother, sister and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
Preceding Marlene in death including her parents are twin sons, Raymond and Robert Davis and a sister, Judy Blankenship.
Those left to treasure her memories are three sons, Eddie Davis (Regina), Mark Davis (Michelle) and Jeff Davis; a daughter Lisa Lunsford (Toney); four sisters, Shelby Allen (Russell), Katherine Johnson (Richard), Jane Hensley and Jackie Waters (Mike); a brother, Phillip Ogle (Sandy); fifteen grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Monday, December 26, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Old Fort Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Heath Ogle and Rev. Marty Conner officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 at the church. Burial will take place following the service at Cherry Springs Cemetery in Old Fort.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Mountain Ridge for the care given to their mother.
