Alene Violet Forrester

Alene Violet Davis Forrester, age 82, passed away peacefully at the Holly Springs Rest Home in Forest City, North Carolina on Saturday, November 18, 2017. A native of McDowell County, North Carolina, she was born on August 10, 1935 to the late Olin Harvey Davis and Winnie Sherill Davis.

Alene was a member of Clinchfield Baptist Church. She was the owner and operator of a salon, where she was a licensed cosmetologist.  She had a great love of cooking.  Most of all, she will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, she will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Pam Tuttle.

Alene leaves behind four children, Tracy Smith (David) of Glassboro, New Jersey, Russell Davis of Atlanta, Georgia, Kevin Tuttle (Kathy) of Forest City, North Carolina, Patrick Tuttle of Linwood, New Jersey; a stepson Danny Tuttle; one sister, Pauline Knight of Hampton, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Lucas, Allie, Davis, Ben, and Sarah; two great-grandsons, Brett and Carter.

A memorial service to celebrate Alene’s life will be held at a later date.
