Albert Kirkland

Albert Kirkland, age 82, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at his residence.  The son of the late Oscar and Eva Mae Woody Kirkland, Albert was born on May 10, 1935 in Swain County, North Carolina, and, at an early age moved to McDowell County. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Kelly Kenneth Kirkland.

Mr. Kirkland, who loved to hunt and fish, is survived by one daughter, Sharon Elaine Kirkland; one son, David Eric Kirkland; three siblings, Roxie Gunter, Dennis Kirkland (Patricia) and Ruby Welch.  He is also survived by four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
