Adam Lee Throckmorton

Adam Lee Throckmorton, 39, of Hickory completed his work on Earth and made his journey home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ Monday, February 5, 2018 at Catawba Valley Medical Center.  He was born on March 15, 1978 in Hobbs, New Mexico to the late Henry Throckmorton and Elizabeth Throckmorton of Lovington, New Mexico.

Adam’s many passions included helping others, fishing, sports, competitive bowling with his daughter and building science projects with his son.  He was successful in many things, including earning his heating and air conditioning license.  Adam enjoyed sharing stories and memories that he and his wife had made together.  These stories and memories will continue to be told by the love of his life, Liz, until her journey is completed as well. He made a positive impact on the lives of all he knew, including strangers just by befriending them.  His wittiness, laughter and his ability to spread joy to others can never be replaced by anyone else.

Adam was preceded in death by his father, Henry Throckmorton.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 21 years, Elizabeth Throckmorton of the home; one son, Ezekiel Throckmorton of the home; one daughter, Charity Throckmorton of the home; mother, Elizabeth Throckmorton of Lovington, New Mexico; one brother, Michael Throckmorton and his wife, Deanna of Borger, Texas; two half-brothers, Nick Throckmorton and his wife, Michelle of Colby Kansas and Eugene Throckmorton and his wife, Carol of Kansas; three half-sisters, Yvonne Throckmorton of Kansas, Michelle Throckmorton and her husband, Nick of Colby, Kansas and Lisa Kramer-Duran and her husband, Tony of Sacramento, California.  Adam is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Adam’s life will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service in Marion with Revs. T.J. Robinson, Robert Roark and Jerry Robinson officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
