Ada Willis

     Ada Mae Watkins Webb Willis, 90, of Nebo, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023, at her residence.

     Ada was born in Swain County, NC, on June 16, 1932, to the late Arthur Watkins and Cora Lane Watkins. She was married to the late Frank Eli Webb, Sr. and later to Clifford Willis, who also preceded her in death. Ada was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Bryson City. She loved to read and regularly donated to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospitals. Most of all, Ada loved the Lord and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed.

    Ada was also preceded in death by three children, Frank Webb, Jr., Gary Webb, and Sandra Blake; siblings, Elizabeth Sutton, Albert Watkins, Vella Styles, John Watkins, and Poly Watkins.

     She is survived by a son, Bobby Webb; a daughter, Wanda Morgan & husband Gene; a brother, Dillard Watkins & wife Faye; and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

     A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. Rev. David Watkins will officiate. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
