During the early morning of Friday, October 13th, 2023, Aaron "Keith" Duncan left Mission Hospital in Asheville and walked through the gates of Heaven into the arms of his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. Born in Greenville SC on an Air Force Base on January 26th, 1960 to the late Jennings "Sweat Pea" Duncan and Shirley Harris Duncan, Keith eventually made his way to North Carolina where he put down roots and lived his life surrounded by plenty of love and laughter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Kathy "Jeannie" Duncan.
Keith was a simple man who enjoyed all the simple pleasures in life and wouldn't have had it any other way. He loved the outdoors and was always up for a fishing trip or for working in his garden. He was a proud ping pong champion and bragged about his golfing skills especially in a competitive game of mini golf. His family was his world and he would smile from ear to ear when everyone was together under one roof laughing and telling stories of all of our "Duncan Adventures". He was a loving and proud "Pappy" who never missed one of his Grandson Eli's ballgames and lit up every time he got to love on him. His love even extended to his four legged family members "Sadie", "Dixie", and his granddog and grandcats. His sense of humor and laugh was infectious and you'd always leave after being around him with a smile on your face and a laugh in your spirit.
Left to continue his legacy of love and laughter are his loving wife Cathy Noblitt Duncan of 40 years; son Clay Duncan & wife Mindy; daughter Hayley Duncan & husband Adam; Grandson Eli Duncan; two sisters, Cindy Gragg & Lisa Allman & husband Dean; nephews Josh & Brent and niece Kala.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, October 17th at Beam Funeral Home in Marion NC and a graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, October 18th at Cherry Springs Baptist Church Memorial Park with Keith's pastor and friend Rev. Kevin Arrowood officiating.
